Sunburns can occur, when your skin is overexposed to the ultraviolet rays of the sun.
Note: You can still get sunburn on a cloudy day.
  Symptoms of a sunburn
   
Redness
Warmth
Tenderness
Blisters
Swelling
 
  How to care for a sunburn
   
  If mildly burn:
   
Use calamine or aloe-based lotions to cool sunburned area.
Use cool water (approximately 25ºC) to cool the sunburn area for about 30 minutes to an hour.
A pharmacist will be able to provide advice about after sun products, which may also be useful for cooling and remoisturising the skin.
   
   
  If severely burned:
   
Consult a doctor if blisters or a rash appear.
